If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kel, a popular town in Neelum Valley. Drive towards Shounter Valley. The road is scenic but may be narrow and winding in places, so drive cautiously. Follow signs towards Shounter, and after approximately 30 km, you will arrive at Chitta Khatta Lake View Tent Village, located in Shounter Valley. Look for the signposts along the way to confirm your route. Parking is available near the tent village.

For those using public transportation, take a bus or jeep from Muzaffarabad to Kel. From Kel, you can hire a local jeep or taxi to take you to Shounter Valley. The jeep ride will take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Inform the driver that you want to go to Chitta Khatta Lake View Tent Village, and they will drop you off as close as possible to the site. The fare from Kel to Shounter is generally affordable, but it's advisable to confirm the price before starting your journey.
