Getting There

    Starting from the Portobelo town center, head east on Calle 2 until you reach the intersection with Avenida Central. Turn left onto Avenida Central and walk for about 600 meters. You will pass local shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for the sign indicating the fortifications as you approach the entrance.

    If you are at the Portobelo Bay, walk towards the Fort San Jeronimo. From the bay, make your way to Calle 1 heading towards the main road. Turn right onto Avenida Central and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will see the fortifications on your left.

    From the Portobelo Church, head west on Calle 3 until you reach Avenida Central. Turn right and proceed along Avenida Central for approximately 400 meters. The entrance to the fortifications will be on your left, marked with historical signage.
