Getting There

Walking
From the center of Kavieng, head southeast toward the beach. Walk along the coastal road, which is known as the Kavieng Road (also referred to as the Tanga Road). Follow this road for about 5 km. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the ocean on your left. After approximately 1 hour of walking, you will reach the town of Kokopo. Upon entering Kokopo, continue straight until you see signs for the Kokopo War Museum, located at M777+M46. The museum will be on your right side.

Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Kavieng, head southeast on the main road, Kavieng Road/Tanga Road. Cycle for about 5 km, which should take around 20-30 minutes. You will see the ocean on your left as you ride along. Once you arrive in Kokopo, keep an eye out for the Kokopo War Museum, located at M777+M46 on your right. There should be signs directing you to the entrance.

Find a local bus service from Kavieng to Kokopo. Buses typically depart from designated stops in the town center. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you want to go to Kokopo.
