Walking
From the center of Mount Hagen, head towards the main market area. Use local paths to reach the Mount Hagen - Mendi road. Follow this road southwards until you reach the junction leading to Imbonggu. The walk will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace and the conditions of the paths. Be sure to ask locals for directions to Imbonggu as it's a common route and they can provide assistance.

Local Transport (Bicycle or Motorbike)
Rent a bicycle or hire a motorbike from a local rental shop in Mount Hagen. Head south on the Mount Hagen - Mendi road. After about 30 minutes of travel, look for signs or ask locals for directions to Imbonggu. Once you reach Imbonggu, continue on the road towards the Old Logging Site, which is approximately another 15-20 minutes away. Make sure to keep an eye on your surroundings for clear signs indicating Lau Woods Basecamp.
