Getting There

Walking
From the center of Mount Hagen, head south towards the Mount Hagen Market. The market is a well-known landmark and a good starting point. Once at the market, continue south on the main road (Kumul Highway) for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Loniu. Look for local signs that might indicate the direction to Loniu. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for about 4 kilometers. You'll pass through local villages and fields, so be sure to enjoy the scenery. After this stretch, you will reach a sign indicating 'Loniu Passage' – continue straight ahead until you arrive at the location, which will be on your right.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Mount Hagen and start your journey from the main square. Ride south towards the Mount Hagen Market and continue along the Kumul Highway. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the intersection with the road to Loniu. Turn left here and cycle for approximately 4 kilometers. The path might be uneven at times, so be cautious. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Loniu Passage. Follow the road until you see the sign for Loniu Passage on your right.
