    If you're starting from the University of Pennsylvania campus, head east on Walnut Street towards 34th Street. Continue walking until you reach 34th Street and then turn left. Walk north on 34th Street until you reach Spruce Street. Turn right on Spruce Street and walk until you hit 3rd Street. Turn left on 3rd Street and continue walking until you arrive at 244 S 3rd St. Powel House will be on your right.

    From the University City area, you can take the SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) Trolley. Walk to the nearest Trolley stop at 34th St & Walnut St. Board either the 11 or 13 Trolley heading towards Center City. Ride until you reach the 2nd Street stop. Exit the Trolley, and walk north on 2nd Street. Turn left on Market Street and then right on 3rd Street. Continue walking south on 3rd Street until you reach Powel House at 244 S 3rd St. Note: A one-way fare on the Trolley is approximately $2.50.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start at any bike station in University City and bike east towards the Schuylkill River Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the Walnut Street Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue onto Walnut Street.
