Walking
From the center of Fairmount, head southwest on Fairmount Avenue toward 23rd Street. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with the Schuylkill River Trail. Turn left onto the trail and follow it for approximately 1.5 miles. This scenic route will take you along the river, providing beautiful views of the city. Keep an eye out for Cedar Grove, which will be on your right as you approach the end of the trail. The entrance to Cedar Grove is located at 1 Cedar Grove Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19131.

Public Transit - Bus
From Fairmount, walk to the nearest bus stop on Fairmount Ave at 24th Street. Take the SEPTA Bus Route 7 heading towards West Philadelphia. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and disembark at the stop for 63rd Street & Cedar Avenue. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Cedar Grove. Head east on Cedar Avenue and then turn left onto Cedar Grove Drive. The historical site will be on your left at 1 Cedar Grove Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19131. The bus fare is $2.50, payable in cash or via a SEPTA Key card.

You can also take the trolley from Fairmount. Walk to the nearest trolley stop at 22nd Street and Girard Avenue. Board the Route 10 trolley heading towards 69th Street Terminal. Travel for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the stop for 69th Street and Market Street. Transfer to the SEPTA Bus Route 7 heading towards West Philadelphia and get off at the stop for 63rd Street & Cedar Avenue. From there, walk about 10 minutes to Cedar Grove located at 1 Cedar Grove Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19131. The total fare for the trolley and bus is $5.00.
