If you're driving from the Upper Delaware Valley, start by getting onto I-84 E. Follow I-84 E to I-87 S in New York. Take exit 16 for I-87 S towards New York City. Merge onto the New York State Thruway (I-87 S) and continue until you reach the George Washington Bridge. Cross the bridge into New Jersey and take the exit for I-95 S toward Philadelphia. Continue on I-95 S and take exit 22 for the Vine Street Expressway (I-676). Follow signs for I-676 and take exit 1 towards 6th St. Continue on 6th St, then turn left onto Race St, and then right onto 2nd St. Finally, turn left onto Elfreth's Alley. The museum will be on your right at 126 Elfreth's Alley.

If you are coming from the Upper Delaware Valley, consider taking a NJ Transit train to Trenton, then transfer to an Amtrak or SEPTA train heading to Philadelphia. Once you arrive at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, you can take the Market-Frankford Line subway towards Frankford Transportation Center. Get off at 2nd Street Station. Exit the station and walk east on Market St. Turn left onto 2nd St and continue straight until you reach Elfreth's Alley. The museum will be at 126 Elfreth's Alley on your left.
