Car
If you are driving from Huaraz, take the PE-3N road towards Yungay. Continue on this road for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach Yungay. Upon arriving in Yungay, follow the signs to Carretera Central. Huarascucho is located directly on Carretera Central s/n. There is usually ample parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Huarascucho via public transport, first, take a bus from Huaraz to Yungay. Buses leave frequently from the terminal in Huaraz and the fare is typically around 10-15 soles. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Yungay, you can either walk to Huarascucho, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station, or take a local taxi for around 5-10 soles.
Walking
If you find yourself in Yungay and wish to walk to Huarascucho, exit the bus station and head southeast on Av. 28 de Julio. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carretera Central. Turn left on Carretera Central, and Huarascucho will be a short walk down this road. Look for the signs marking the tourist attraction.
