Car
If you are traveling by car from Huaraz, take the PE-3N highway towards Chavín de Huántar. The drive will take approximately 4 hours. Follow the signs to Chavín de Huántar, and once you arrive in the town, continue towards the archaeological site, which is about 3 kilometers from the town center. There is a parking area available near the site where you can leave your vehicle.
Public Transportation
From Huaraz, you can take a bus to Chavín de Huántar. Buses leave from the Huaraz bus terminal frequently and the journey takes around 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Chavín de Huántar, you can either walk to the archaeological site (about 3 kilometers) or take a taxi for a small fee, usually around 10-15 soles.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Huaraz to take you directly to Sitio Arqueológico Chavín de Huántar. This option can be more expensive, costing approximately 150-200 soles, but it will be the quickest way to reach the site without multiple transfers.
