If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Mollepata, which is a common starting point for the Salkantay Trail. Head southwest on the road towards Limatambo. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left turn towards the town of Urubamba. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach Urubamba. Once in Urubamba, look for signs indicating 'Puente Paucarbamba.' The Hacienda del Chalán is located just beyond the bridge at Puente Paucarbamba. There is parking available on-site.

To reach Hacienda del Chalán using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Mollepata to Urubamba. Buses frequently depart from Mollepata's main square. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and costs around 10 to 15 soles. Once you arrive in Urubamba, you can either walk or take a taxi to Puente Paucarbamba. If you choose to walk, head southwest from the bus station, and follow the road signs to Puente Paucarbamba, which is about a 20-minute walk. Taxis are available and typically cost around 10 soles for the short ride to Hacienda del Chalán.
