Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the town of Mollepata, which is the main starting point for the Salkantay Trail. From Mollepata, take the road heading towards Soraypampa, which is approximately 10 km away. Once you reach Soraypampa, continue driving until you find the sign for the Salkantay Trailhead. After your trek, return to Soraypampa and head back to Mollepata. From Mollepata, you can drive to Cusco, which is about a 3-hour drive. The final destination, Perú Wild Treks, is located at PP.JJ. Sipaspucyu -Ricardo Palma A-8 in Cusco. Make sure to check the road conditions and possible tolls along the way.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Perú Wild Treks by public transportation, begin your journey in Mollepata where you can find shared taxis or buses heading towards Soraypampa. The fare is usually around 10-15 soles per person. After your trek, return to Mollepata and take a shared taxi or bus to Cusco, which typically costs around 20-30 soles and takes about 3-4 hours. Once in Cusco, you can use local taxis or walk to the address PP.JJ. Sipaspucyu -Ricardo Palma A-8, Cusco 08000. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare upfront.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Soraypampa to take you to the bus station in Mollepata, and then from Mollepata to Cusco. The taxi from Soraypampa to Mollepata might cost around 50 soles, and the ride will take about 30 minutes. After arriving in Mollepata, take a taxi or bus to Cusco as mentioned previously. This option can be more expensive but is convenient if you have heavy luggage.
