The final stretch is about 5 kilometers of unpaved road. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to rough terrain. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

From Chivay, take a local bus headed to Huambo. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal and the fare is approximately 10 PEN (Peruvian Soles). The journey takes around 1 hour. Once in Huambo, you may need to hire a taxi or use a local mototaxi to reach Mirador de Cactus, which is about 5 kilometers away. Taxi fares are typically around 15-20 PEN for this short trip. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting in.
