Car
If you are traveling by car from Chivay, head southeast on the main road (Route 30A) towards Orcopampa. The drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Continue straight until you reach the town of Orcopampa. Once in Orcopampa, follow the signs to 'Volcan', which is located just outside the town. You will need to navigate to the GPS coordinates PJVR+RJC. Parking is available near the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Volcan via public transportation, take a bus from Chivay to Orcopampa. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Chivay, and the fare is usually around 10-15 soles. The journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Orcopampa, you may need to hire a local taxi to take you to Volcan as it is approximately 7 km from the bus drop-off point. Expect to pay around 20 soles for the taxi ride.
