Natural Inca Hot Springs Day Trip – Soak & Relax in the Andes

HOT Hot Springs...a relaxing and soothing experience

Go visit! It is a bit of a drive, through the beauty of the Altiplano, where you will see glacial streams and herds of Alpaca... scenery totally worthy of the drive. You can hire a car...or take a Collectivo from Calca (or other locations) for about $10 roundtrip. There are several pools, of different temperatures- some VERY hot, and all the pools are cleaned daily. There are also warm showers, falling off of hewn rock spouts. Bring a lock- there are cubbies to store your belongings, & clean dressing rooms. The rockwork surrounding the springs is amazing. There are small eateries & shops to buy snacks. Be sure to visit the shop of the Artisans Association just outside the entrance: the Lares weavers are among the best in Peru, and the prices are amazing. The springs are open late: what an experience on a full Moon! (PS: if you choose to stay overnight, en route to perhaps Yanatille, I hear it is best to book with one of the 'higher priced' lodgings, still extremely cheap, for the cleanliness factor)

Spontaneously get another seat. (45 minutes before) Very pleasant 45 degree Inca sauna. Towel, slippers, shower all included. Everything very well maintained! Thank you Valeria for everything!
