Public Transportation - Train

The train ride takes about 1.5 hours and offers stunning views of the Sacred Valley. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, follow the signs towards the town center.

Once you are in Aguas Calientes, the Machu Picchu Hiking Trail begins from the town. You will need to walk to the bus station to take the shuttle bus to Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes and runs frequently throughout the day. Be sure to purchase your bus ticket beforehand, which costs around 12 USD one way.
