Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the main entrance of Paracas National Reserve. Head south on the main road (Avenida Paracas) towards the coastal area. Continue driving until you reach the sign for Playa La Mina, which is about 9 kilometers from the entrance. Follow the signs, and you'll eventually reach a dirt road leading to the beach. Make sure to drive slowly as the road can be bumpy. Parking is available near the beach, but be mindful of any local regulations.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Playa La Mina using public transportation, you can take a local minibus or shared taxi from Paracas town center. Look for minibuses labeled for 'Playa La Mina' or ask locals for directions to the right vehicle. The fare is typically around 5-10 soles (approximately $1-2 USD) per person. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the entrance to Playa La Mina, you may need to walk a short distance (about 1 kilometer) to reach the beach itself.

  If you are already within Paracas National Reserve and prefer to walk, you can hike to Playa La Mina from the main park roads. From the Visitor Center, head south along the designated trails. This is a longer option, taking approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to carry water and wear appropriate footwear, as the trails can be uneven.
