If you are driving from the town of Urubamba, head east on Avenida Ferrocarril toward the intersection with Calle La Libertad. Continue straight onto the road leading to the community of Huayllabamba. From there, follow the signs to Laguna Piuray, which is approximately a 30-minute drive. The last part of the route will require you to take a dirt road for about 5 km, so make sure your vehicle can handle rough terrain.

To reach Laguna Piuray via public transportation, take a colectivo (shared taxi) from Urubamba to the town of Huayllabamba. Colectivos are available at the main square in Urubamba and the fare is around 5-10 soles. Once you arrive in Huayllabamba, you can either walk the remaining 5 km to Laguna Piuray or hire a local taxi for about 20-30 soles to take you directly to the lake.
