Public Bus
From the city center of Trujillo, head to the main bus terminal located on Avenida España. Look for buses heading towards Huanchaco or El Brujo. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at the Huaca Cao Viejo stop. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, walk towards the entrance of the archaeological site, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

You can hail a taxi from anywhere in the city or use a rideshare app. Provide the driver with the address '3MMW+VJ3, Balneario El Brujo, 13750'. The journey will take roughly 25-35 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of Huaca Cao Viejo.

If you are staying nearby in Balneario El Brujo, you can easily walk to Huaca Cao Viejo. Start from the main square in Balneario El Brujo, and head southeast along Avenida Los Incas. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you see signs for Huaca Cao Viejo. The site will be on your left-hand side.
