If you are staying near the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo and enjoy walking, you can make your way to Huanchaco on foot. Start by heading east on Av. Nicolás de Piérola. Continue straight until you reach Av. Juan Pablo II, then turn left. Follow this road until you reach the beachfront in Huanchaco. This walk is around 10 kilometers and will take about 2 hours, so ensure you're wearing comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
