Car
From Vilcabamba, head west on the main road towards Uramasa. Continue driving for approximately 30 km until you reach the village of Uramasa. Make sure to follow the signs to Laguna Viconga. Once in Uramasa, take the gravel road that leads towards the mountain. The road can be rough, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. After about 10 km, you will arrive at the parking area near Laguna Viconga de Uramasa. This drive may take around 1 hour, depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
From Vilcabamba, take a local bus heading towards Uramasa. Buses typically leave from the main terminal, and the fare is around 5-10 soles. The bus ride will take about 1 hour, depending on stops. Once you arrive in Uramasa, ask locals for directions to the Laguna Viconga trailhead. It is about a 2-hour hike from Uramasa to the lagoon. Ensure to wear appropriate hiking gear as the trail can be steep and rocky.

If you are already in Uramasa, follow the path marked towards Laguna Viconga. The trail is well-trodden but can be challenging due to elevation and terrain.
