If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Zakopane, which is the nearest major town. Drive on the DK47 road towards Nowy Targ. After approximately 7 kilometers, take the exit towards Brzegi and follow the local roads to reach Droga Oswalda Balzera in Brzegi. There is a parking area near the entrance to Morskie Oko, but please note that parking fees apply, typically around 30 PLN for the day.

Public Transportation - Bus
From Zakopane, you can take a bus directly to Morskie Oko. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Zakopane. Look for the bus labeled 'Morskie Oko' or 'Palace in Morskie Oko'. The ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around 10-15 PLN. The bus will take you to the entrance of the Morskie Oko trail where you will start your hike.

Walking
Once you arrive at the Morskie Oko parking area or the bus stop, you will need to walk about 8 kilometers (approximately 2 hours) through a well-marked trail to reach the beautiful lake. The path is mostly paved but can be steep in some sections. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks for the walk.

Horse-drawn carriage
For those who prefer not to walk, you can opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride that starts from the parking area. This service is weather dependent and can cost around 50-70 PLN per person for a one-way trip. The carriage will take you closer to Morskie Oko, but you’ll still have to walk a short distance to reach the lake.
