Drive north on DK47 for approximately 15 km, then turn onto the road leading to the Tatra National Park entrance at the 'Kuźnice' area. There is a parking fee of about 30 PLN per day. From the Kuźnice parking lot, follow the well-marked trail towards the 'Hala Gąsienicowa' mountain hut, which takes about 1.5 hours. Continue on the marked trail towards 'Wielki Staw Polski,' which is approximately a 1-hour hike from Hala Gąsienicowa.

To reach Wielki Staw Polski using public transportation, take a bus from Zakopane to Kuźnice. The bus departs regularly and costs around 5 PLN. Once you arrive at Kuźnice, take the same route as if you were driving. Hike towards Hala Gąsienicowa, which takes about 1.5 hours. After reaching Hala Gąsienicowa, continue along the marked trail towards Wielki Staw Polski, which will take you about another hour.
