If you're driving from Beira Baixa, take the A23 motorway towards Lisbon. After approximately 1.5 hours, merge onto the A1 motorway towards Lisbon. Continue on the A1 for about 1 hour until you reach Lisbon. Once in Lisbon, follow signs for 'Centro' and take the exit towards Rua da Graça. Follow Rua da Graça until you reach the street R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo where the castle is located. Parking may be limited, so check for nearby parking garages or street parking.

To reach Castelo de São Jorge via public transportation, first take a train from Beira Baixa to Lisbon. Trains depart from stations like Castelo Branco or Covilhã and arrive at Lisbon's Santa Apolónia or Rossio station. Once in Lisbon, you can take a taxi or use public transport. If you choose public transport, take the metro from Santa Apolónia (Blue Line) to Baixa-Chiado. From there, transfer to the Chiado tram (28) or walk up to the castle. Alternatively, you can walk from the station to the castle, which takes about 30 minutes.
