If you are in the center of Braga, start at the Praça da República. Head east on Rua do Comércio towards Avenida da Liberdade. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Avenida General Carrilho. Turn right onto Avenida General Carrilho and walk until you reach the bus station, which is on your left. From there, take the bus line 3 or 7 towards Porto. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Porto, get off at the stop 'Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque'. The Monumento aos Heróis da Guerra Peninsular is right in front of you.

From Braga, go to the Braga train station. Purchase a ticket to Porto Campanhã. The train journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Porto Campanhã, transfer to the Metro line A (blue line) towards Estádio do Dragão. Get off at the 'Campo 24 de Agosto' station. From there, walk straight along Rua de Passos Manuel until you reach Avenida dos Aliados. Continue straight, passing the city hall, until you reach Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque. The monument will be visible from the square.
