Walking
If you are in the city center of Guimarães, start at the Praça de São Tiago. From there, head towards the Avenida Dom João IV and follow the street until you reach the Guimarães train station (Estação de Guimarães). Once at the station, take a train to Porto (the journey takes about 30 minutes). After arriving at Porto's São Bento station, exit the station and head towards Avenida dos Aliados, then turn left onto Rua de Dom Manuel II. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach Jardins do Palácio de Cristal.

From Guimarães, take the bus from the Guimarães bus station to Porto (check the schedule for the specific bus routes available). After arriving at the bus station in Porto, follow the signs to the metro station (Campo 24 de Agosto). Take the metro to the 'São Bento' station. Once you exit the station, walk in the direction of Avenida dos Aliados, and then turn left onto Rua de Dom Manuel II.
