Getting There

    From Caldas da Rainha, head to the main bus station located at Av. 1º de Maio. Look for the bus that goes to Alcobaça, which is typically marked with its destination. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or directly from the driver. The journey to Alcobaça takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Alcobaça bus station, exit the station and head east on Rua de São Martinho. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Rua do Castelo. Follow this road until you see the signs for Castelo de Alcobaça, which is located at R. do Castelo 35.

  • Train and Bus

    Begin your journey at the Caldas da Rainha train station located on Av. da Liberdade. Take a train towards Lisbon and disembark at the Alfeizerão station. From there, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Alcobaça, which is about 8 km away. The bus will take you to the center of Alcobaça.
