Walking
From the center of Caldas da Rainha, head north on Rua Dr. José Almeida. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida do 1º de Maio. Walk along Avenida do 1º de Maio for about 15 minutes until you reach the train station, Estação da CP. Here, you can catch a train to Óbidos. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Óbidos train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Rua da Estação. Turn left and walk straight until you find the signs directing you to Óbidos castle. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Praça de Santa Maria, where the Church of Saint Mary is located.

Start at the central bus station in Caldas da Rainha, located at Avenida Infante D. Henrique. Take the bus line that goes to Óbidos; the journey typically takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at the Óbidos bus station, head towards the main entrance of the village. Walk straight, following the signs to Óbidos castle. As you walk up the hill, keep an eye out for the signs to Praça de Santa Maria. The Church of Saint Mary is located at this square.
