Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Guimarães, head south towards the Praça de Santiago. Continue straight onto the Rua de Santo António, which will lead you to the main road, Av. Dom João IV. Turn left onto Av. Dom João IV and walk straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork, which will lead you onto the N201 road. Follow this road for approximately 2 km until you see signs for Lindoso. The Castle of Lindoso will be on your right as you approach the village.

    From Guimarães city center, walk to the Guimarães bus station (Estação de Autocarros de Guimarães) located near the Praça de Santiago. Purchase a ticket for the bus heading to Lindoso. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the center of Lindoso. From the bus stop, walk towards the village center and follow the signs to the Castle of Lindoso, which is a short 10-minute walk uphill.
