Walking
From the center of Guimarães, start at Praça de São Tiago, which is easily recognizable as it has a large statue in the middle. Head north on Rua de São Tiago until you reach the intersection with Rua de Costa. Turn left onto Rua de Costa and continue until you reach the main road, Avenida de Dom João IV. Cross the road and continue straight until you reach the bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Guimarães. From here, take the bus to Porto. Once you arrive in Porto, walk to the nearest metro station, Campo 24 de Agosto. Take Line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the stop 'Marquês'. Walk towards Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, where you will find the Igreja de São José das Taipas at number 179.

Public Transport
From Guimarães, go to Terminal Rodoviário de Guimarães, which is located in the city center. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Porto. The bus journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once in Porto, exit the bus terminal and locate the nearest metro station, Campo 24 de Agosto. Take the metro Line A (Blue Line) heading towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Disembark at 'Marquês' station. After exiting the station, follow the signs to Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. The Igreja de São José das Taipas is located at 179 Campo dos Mártires da Pátria.
