From the historic center of Guimarães, head towards the Praça de Santiago. Walk straight along Rua de São Paulo until you reach the end of the street. Take a right onto Avenida Dom João IV. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Rua de São Vicente. Turn left onto Rua de São Vicente and follow it until you reach the bus terminal, where you can take a bus to Braga. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Braga, disembark at the Praça da República stop. From there, the Lapa Church is just a short walk away; head southeast on Praça da República and you will find the church at number 27.

If you are near the Guimarães train station, you can take a train to Braga. Board a train heading to Braga, which departs frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Braga train station, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal to catch a local bus. Take bus number 1 or 2 towards Praça da República. After a short ride, get off at Praça da República, where the Lapa Church is located at number 27.
