Walking
From the city center of Guimarães, head towards the Guimarães train station (Estação de Guimarães). Once at the station, take a train to Porto. The train ride typically takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Porto's São Bento train station, exit the station and head towards the Avenida dos Aliados, a major avenue. Walk straight along Avenida dos Aliados until you reach the Avenida da Boavista. At the end of the avenue, turn right onto Rua da Alegria and continue until you reach Rua das Aldas. The Miradouro da Rua das Aldas will be on your left at number 1.

From the historical center of Guimarães, walk to the Guimarães bus station. Take the bus to Porto, which is a direct route. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Porto, walk towards the nearest metro station, 'Campo 24 de Agosto'. Take the metro Line D (yellow line) towards 'Hospital de São João'. Get off at the 'Trindade' station and transfer to Line A (blue line) towards 'Estádio do Dragão'. Get off at 'São Bento' station. From there, exit and walk towards Avenida dos Aliados, then follow the same walking directions as above to reach Rua das Aldas.
