Walking
From the center of Guimarães, head towards the Guimarães Train Station (Estação de Guimarães). The station is located at Av. da Liberdade. Once you reach the station, take a train to Porto (about a 30-minute ride). After arriving at Porto's Campanhã Station, exit the station and head to the Metro (subway) station located inside. Take the Metro Line A (blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Disembark at the Casa da Música station. From there, transfer to Metro Line D (yellow line) towards Hospital de São João and get off at the Jardim do Marquês station. After leaving the station, walk north along R. de Dom João de Castro for about 10 minutes until you reach the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves, located at R. Dom João de Castro 210.

Bus
From the Guimarães city center, walk to the main bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Guimarães) located at Av. Dom João IV. Take a bus heading to Porto. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Porto bus terminal, walk to the nearest Metro station, which is a short distance away. Enter the Metro and take Line A (blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at the Casa da Música station, then transfer to Line D (yellow line) towards Hospital de São João and exit at Jardim do Marquês station. Walk north along R. de Dom João de Castro for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves.
