Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the historic center of Guimarães, head southeast on Avenida Alberto Sampaio towards Rua de São Bento. Continue straight until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida de Lima. Follow this road until you reach the bus terminal, which is a large building on your right. From there, take the bus to Vila Nova de Gaia. You can check the bus schedule at the terminal, and make sure to purchase your ticket at the counter or from an automated machine. The bus ride will take about 1 hour. After arriving at Vila Nova de Gaia, get off at the stop called 'Cais de Gaia'. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the riverfront and turn left to head towards Rua do Choupelo. Follow this road until you reach the Pink Palace - Museu do Rosé located at Rua do Choupelo 39.

Public Transport
From the Guimarães train station, purchase a ticket to Porto (the nearest major city). Trains run frequently, so check the schedule at the station. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Porto, change to the metro at Campanhã station. Take the metro line A (blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the stop called 'Casa da Música'. Here, transfer to line D (yellow line) and head towards 'Hospital de São João', getting off at 'Jardim do Morro' station. After exiting the metro, follow the signs to the viewpoint where you can see the Dom Luís I Bridge. From there, walk down towards the river and follow the waterfront until you reach Rua do Choupelo. The Pink Palace - Museu do Rosé will be located at number 39.
