From the center of Lamego, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Lamego - Rua das Oliveiras'. You can catch a bus towards 'Canelas'. The bus service should be checked in advance for timings, but they usually run at regular intervals. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Canelas, you will need to walk towards the scenic area, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs for the Passadiços do Paiva.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start at the Lamego Cathedral (Sé de Lamego) and head towards Rua dos Três Reis. Continue straight until you reach the junction with N226. Turn right onto N226 and walk for about 5 kilometers. This walk will take approximately 1 hour. Keep an eye out for trail markers for the Passadiços do Paiva as you approach Canelas.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one in Lamego and cycle towards Canelas. Start from Praça da República and head northeast on R. da Liberdade. Join the N226 road leading to Canelas. The biking route is approximately 5 kilometers and will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed. Upon reaching Canelas, follow the signs to the Passadiços do Paiva.
