Start from the central square of Lamego, Praça da República. Head east on Rua do Comércio until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto Avenida Dr. Alfredo de Sousa. Continue straight for about 800 meters. You will pass a few local shops and cafes along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Rua 1º de Maio, continue straight until you see the sign for Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios. The sanctuary is located on Monte de Santo Estevão, which is a hilltop, so be prepared for a steep climb. Follow the path leading up to the sanctuary, which will be clearly marked. The journey should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

From the central bus station in Lamego, look for the local bus service that goes to Monte de Santo Estevão. The bus stop is just a short walk from Praça da República. Board the bus that has 'Santuário' displayed on the front. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop near the sanctuary, follow the signs leading to the entrance. The sanctuary is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Lamego. Start from Praça da República and head east on Rua do Comércio, then take a right onto Avenida Dr. Alfredo de Sousa. Cycle along this road for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Rua 1º de Maio. From here, continue straight to the base of Monte de Santo Estevão. Please note that there is a steep path leading to the sanctuary, which may require you to dismount and walk your bike up. The cycling journey should take about 15-20 minutes, excluding the uphill walk.
