To reach the Aqueduto das Águas Livres, start by finding your way to the nearest Metro station. If you are near the city center, the 'Marquês de Pombal' station is a good option. From there, take the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards 'Santa Apolónia'. After 3 stops, get off at 'São Sebastião' station and transfer to the Red Line (Linha Vermelha). Take the Red Line towards 'Aeroporto' and get off at 'Alameda' station. From Alameda, transfer again to the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards 'Cais do Sodré'. Get off at 'Campo Pequeno' station. From there, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to the Aqueduto das Águas Livres by heading southwest on Avenida de Berna, then turning right onto Rua da Beneficência, which leads directly to the aqueduct.

If you prefer to take a bus, head to the nearest bus stop and catch either bus number 706 or 738. Both buses depart from the city center and will take you towards the Avenida de Berna. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and get off at the 'Campo Pequeno' stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Aqueduto das Águas Livres. Walk southwest on Avenida de Berna, and turn right onto Rua da Beneficência, which will lead you directly to the aqueduct.

Another scenic way to reach the Aqueduto das Águas Livres is by taking the historic Tram 28. Start your journey at Martim Moniz, where you can catch the tram. Ride the tram until you reach the 'Campo de Ourique' stop. From there, you need to walk about 20 minutes. Head northwest onto Rua de São Bento, then turn right onto Rua da Beneficência, which will take you directly to the aqueduct.

If you're staying nearby, you can walk to the Aqueduto das Águas Livres. From the Praça Marquês de Pombal, head south on Avenida da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach Avenida de Berna. Turn left and walk straight for about 20 minutes. You will then reach the aqueduct, which is located at CC da Quintinha 6. It's a pleasant walk with plenty of sights along the way.
