Start at Lisbon's Rossio Station (Estação do Rossio). Buy a ticket to Sintra from the ticket counter or machine. Board the train to Sintra, which runs frequently. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Sintra Station, exit the station.

From Sintra Station, head to the bus stop right outside the station. Take the Scotturb bus number 434 (which goes to the Pena Palace and Moorish Castle). You will need to purchase your ticket on the bus. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Pena' stop. This journey takes about 15-20 minutes.

Walking
After getting off at the 'Pena' stop, walk towards Estrada da Pena. Continue walking down the road for about 10 minutes, following the signs for Parque das Merendas. The park is located on your left side, just before you reach the entrance to the Pena Palace.
