Car
If you are driving from the center of Peneda-Gerês National Park, head south on the N202 road towards the town of Braga. Continue on N202 until you reach the junction with the A11 motorway. Merge onto the A11 towards Guimarães. After approximately 30 km, take exit 27 towards Guimarães. Continue straight onto Av. da Liberdade, which will lead you into the city center. Follow the signs to Largo Cónego José Maria Gomes, where you will find the Câmara Municipal de Guimarães.

To reach the Câmara Municipal de Guimarães by public transportation, first take a bus from Peneda-Gerês National Park to the town of Braga. You can find buses at the main bus station in the park. Upon arriving in Braga, transfer to a bus heading to Guimarães. The journey from Braga to Guimarães takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Guimarães bus station, it is a 10-minute walk to Largo Cónego José Maria Gomes. Simply head north on Av. de Dom Afonso Henriques, then turn left onto Rua de São Paulo which will lead you directly to the square.
