If you are starting from the Guimarães train station, exit the station and head straight along Avenida da República. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Largo do Toural. Continue straight until you reach the Praça de Santiago. From there, turn left onto Rua de São Pedro. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Alberto Sampaio. Turn right and continue until you reach Muralha de Guimarães at Av. Alberto Sampaio 374.

If you are starting from the historic center of Guimarães, make your way to the Praça da Oliveira. From there, head towards the Igreja de São Miguel do Castelo. After visiting the church, continue down the hill towards the Avenida Alberto Sampaio. Turn right on Avenida Alberto Sampaio and walk until you reach Muralha de Guimarães, which will be on your left side.
