Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the center of Ponte de Lima, head towards the main square (Praça da República). From the square, walk north along Rua Dr. José de Lima, passing by local shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where it intersects with Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Turn left onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra and walk straight for about 300 meters. You will see the beautiful riverside park on your right. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout at the end of the avenue. Take the first exit onto Avenida António Feijó. The Estátua de Dona Teresa is located on your right side after a short walk. Look for the prominent stone sculpture, which is easily recognizable.

• Public Transport

  From Ponte de Lima's main bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Ponte de Lima), take a local bus heading towards the city center. Disembark at the stop closest to the central square, Praça da República. From the square, follow the walking instructions provided above, which will guide you to Estátua de Dona Teresa.

• Bicycle

  If you have rented a bicycle, start from the center of Ponte de Lima and head towards the river. Follow the bike path along the Lima River. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the park area along Avenida António Feijó. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Estátua de Dona Teresa, which will be visible from the path. Park your bicycle nearby before walking to the statue.
