If you are near Trindade Metro Station, take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. Get off at the next stop, which is Campo 24 de Agosto. From there, exit the station and head northeast towards Rua de Fernandes Tomás. Turn left onto Rua de Fernandes Tomás, then take a right onto Rua do Sol and continue straight until you reach Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. The Igreja de São José das Taipas will be on your left at number 179.

From Avenida dos Aliados, take bus number 204 towards Matosinhos Praia. Get off at the stop called 'Campo dos Mártires da Pátria.' After exiting the bus, walk back in the direction the bus came from, and you will find the Igreja de São José das Taipas at number 179 on your left.

If you are in the downtown area, such as near the São Bento train station, head southeast on Rua de 31 de Janeiro towards Praça de Almeida Garrett.
