If you are near the São Bento Metro Station, take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the next stop, which is Campo 24 de Agosto. From there, exit the station and walk towards Rua de Fernandes Tomás. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Santa Catarina. Turn left and walk straight until you reach Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. The Igreja de São José das Taipas will be on your left at Campo dos Mártires da Pátria 179.

From the central area of Porto, head to the nearest bus stop, such as at Avenida dos Aliados. Take the bus number 601 or 602 towards Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. After a short ride, get off at the Campo dos Mártires da Pátria stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the large square, and you will see the Igreja de São José das Taipas located at Campo dos Mártires da Pátria 179.

If you are in the vicinity of the historic center, you can walk to Igreja de São José das Taipas. Start from the iconic Avenida dos Aliados and head east towards Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Follow this road straight until you reach Praça da República. From there, continue walking along Rua de Santa Catarina, then turn right at Rua de Fernandes Tomás. Keep walking until you reach Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, where you will find the church at number 179.
