    From Serra de Sintra, head southeast on the N247 road towards Colares. Follow the N247 until you reach the A16 motorway. Merge onto the A16 towards Lisbon. Continue on the A16 for about 12 km, then take the exit towards CRIL/Eixo Norte-Sul. Follow the signs for the Eixo Norte-Sul and merge onto it. After approximately 8 km, take the exit towards Alcântara and merge onto the 25 de Abril Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue on the A2 for about 4 km and take the exit towards Av. da Índia. Follow Av. da Índia until you reach Largo dos Jerónimos.

    From the Sintra train station, take the train to Lisbon Rossio station. Once at Rossio, transfer to the green metro line (Linha Verde) towards Cais do Sodré. Get off at the Cais do Sodré station and walk to the nearby bus stop. Take bus number 727 towards Praça do Comércio. Get off at the Jerónimos stop, which is a short walk from the Tropical Botanical Garden. The garden is located at Largo dos Jerónimos, 1400-209 Lisboa.
