Train
From Cascais, head to the Cascais train station located in the center of town. Purchase a ticket to Lisbon (Cais do Sodré station). The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré, exit the station and walk towards the riverside. Look for the metro station 'Cais do Sodré' and take the Green Line towards 'Telheiras'. Get off at 'Baixa-Chiado' station. From there, switch to the Blue Line at 'Baixa-Chiado' station and take the train towards 'Santa Apolónia'. Get off at 'Alameda' station and transfer to the Red Line towards 'Aeroporto'. Finally, get off at 'São Sebastião' station. From there, it's a 20-minute walk to Praça do Império, where the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia is located.

From the Cascais bus terminal, take the bus number 403 towards Lisbon. The bus ride takes approximately 50 minutes. Disembark at the 'Praça de Espanha' stop. From there, walk towards the metro station 'Praça de Espanha' and take the Blue Line towards 'Santa Apolónia'. Get off at 'Alameda' station, then transfer to the Red Line towards 'Aeroporto'. Finally, get off at 'São Sebastião' station. The Museu Nacional de Arqueologia is about a 20-minute walk from here, located at Praça do Império.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from the Cascais center to the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia, start at the Cascais Marina. Head east towards the coastal promenade and follow it towards Lisbon, which will take you through beautiful scenery. Continue along the promenade until you reach the Lisbon Botanical Garden. From there, walk up Av. da Liberdade and turn right onto Av. 5 de Outubro. Continue straight until you reach the Praça do Império. The museum will be located there. Please note this is a long walk, so ensure you're prepared for the distance.
