If you prefer walking, start from the center of Sintra, at the Sintra National Palace. Head towards the main road, Rua do Paço, and turn left onto Rua da Ferraria. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Estrada da Liberdade. Turn right and follow the road, which will take you out of the town center. As you walk, keep going straight until you reach Estrada da Serra do Socorro. This route is about 5 kilometers and will take around 1 hour to walk. Enjoy the scenic views as you make your way to Eremitério da Serra do Socorro.
