From Esperanza, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start by heading east on Calle Flamboyán, then turn left onto PR-200. Follow PR-200 until you reach the intersection with PR-191. Turn right onto PR-191 and continue for about 5 miles until you reach the El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center. Be cautious of traffic and stay on designated bike paths where available.

If you are staying in the vicinity of the Malecon in Esperanza, you can walk to El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center. Head east along the waterfront, then turn left onto Calle Flamboyán. Continue on this road until you reach PR-200. Follow the road until you reach the PR-191 intersection. Turn right onto PR-191 and walk approximately 5 miles. This is a long walk, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
