Car
If you are driving, head towards El Yunque National Forest entrance via PR-191. Follow the signs to El Yunque. Once you enter the park, continue on PR-191 until you reach the PR-186 junction. Turn left onto PR-186 and follow it for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see the El Toro Trailhead parking area on your left, where you can park your car to access the trail.

To reach El Toro Trail using public transportation, take a bus or a shuttle service from San Juan to the El Yunque area. You can catch a bus from the San Juan bus terminal to Rio Grande. Once in Rio Grande, look for local transportation options such as taxis or shared rides that can take you to the El Yunque National Forest entrance. Once you arrive at the park, follow the same route as described for car travelers: take PR-191 to the PR-186 junction, turn left, and continue until you reach the El Toro Trailhead parking area.

If you're already in Yunque National Forest and have hiked to nearby trails, you can make your way to El Toro Trail by following the signs. From the Big Tree Trailhead, head towards the La Mina Falls area and look for the El Toro Trail signs, which will guide you to the trailhead.
