If you are starting from the Rhode Island State House located at 82 Smith Street, walk east on Smith Street towards North Main Street. Turn left onto North Main Street and continue for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Benefit Street, which will lead you through a charming historic district. Continue straight until you reach Power Street. Turn left onto Power Street, and the John Brown House Museum will be on your right at 52 Power Street.

From Kennedy Plaza, take the RIPTA bus #1 (Federal Hill) or #3 (North Main) heading towards Federal Hill. Get off at the stop at Benefit Street and Power Street. From there, walk east on Power Street for about 3 minutes, and you will arrive at the John Brown House Museum located at 52 Power Street.
