Getting There

Car
Start by heading southwest on Yawgoo Valley Road from the Yawgoo Valley Ski Area. Continue on Yawgoo Valley Road until you reach Route 2. Turn right onto Route 2 and follow it for about 5 miles. Merge onto Route 138 East towards Newport. After about 10 miles, take the exit for Newport and merge onto Route 114 South. Continue straight until you reach Ocean Drive. Brenton Point State Park will be on your right. There is no parking fee, but ensure you check for any specific regulations.

From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus station or a designated pickup point for public transportation. Board the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus that goes towards Newport. After arriving in Newport, transfer to Bus Route 67, which goes to Ocean Drive. Disembark at the nearest stop to Brenton Point State Park. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary. The cost for a single ride on RIPTA is approximately $2.00.
