    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, head southeast on Yawgoo Valley Rd toward Providence Rd. Turn left onto Providence Rd and continue for about 2 miles. Merge onto RI-138 E via the ramp to Newport. Stay on RI-138 E for approximately 12 miles, then merge onto US-1 S. Continue on US-1 S for about 4 miles, then take the exit for RI-138 E toward Newport. Follow the signs for Newport, and as you approach downtown, keep left at the fork to continue on RI-138 E. Once in Newport, turn right onto Washington St. The Rose Island Lighthouse will be on your left at 1 Washington St.

    Start at Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) Route 67 bus towards Newport. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the Newport Gateway Center. From there, transfer to the Route 60 bus towards the Easton’s Beach area. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop near Washington St. Walk east on Washington St for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Rose Island Lighthouse at 1 Washington St.
